Christmas (Navidad in Spanish)
Back in Mexico when I was a little child i remember that my sister and I waited impatiently for Christmas, because of the "posadas", which are the celebrations in the twelve days before Christmas, in which the whole town or should I say the whole country have a big parade every night. Usually every block organize so each house participate, because the family in charge have to provide with the Pinatas and some kind of snack for everybody else. Some churches do the same thing and if we were quick some days we could join two posadas in the same day. The pinatas are really interesting but its kind of scary since the person who is hitting it has to have her eyes cover, at the same time everybody is exited and waiting for the moment when the pinata is broken so we can get as much candies and fruit as we can. Christmas were different and for my point o view way more funnier for kids than is here. I have to said that it wasn't really safe for kids and public in general since there was a lot of people outside in the streets and so many kids by themselves. That was the way in those days anyways.
